Scout Lighting innovating change year after year.

The mission of the Progress Committee is to keep in touch with developments in the art and science of lighting throughout the world and prepare a yearly report of achievements for the Society. Acceptance is based on an impartial judging process used by the committee to evaluate each submission on its uniqueness, innovation and significance to the lighting industry.

FlexDuo is the world’s first 1/2″ wide constant voltage COB-LED flexible engine with award-winning patented innovations. It is available with an array of channels and as an illuminating engine for some of our freshest luminaire designs.

Power-injection anywhere along the side, rear, and end of our flexible engine without ever breaking a line-of-light. The phosphor runs end-to-end on any section so disruptive jumpers are never required. Angles are possible because our side-feed turns any corner along the COB phosphor. Two intensities are programmable on one engine with the ability to modify output post-production. A feature not currently available on existing 24V constant voltage tape. By wiring the ground and low-intensity wire together FlexDuo will operate at 2.2w/300lm/ft and by wiring the ground and high-intensity wire together it will operate at 4.4w/600lm/ft.

Micro extruded optics, louvers, and other accessories are available within a 1/2″ wide profile. Our state-of-the-art optical offering allows grazing, asymmetric, wide beam and more beam spreads from a minimal profile. Multiple housings and optics infused with technological advancements makes FlexDuo a versatile system for those moments where the smallest details matter. Furthermore, if you do not see a profile that suits your needs we are always developing new ones through community feedback. With 2” cutting increments, variable lengths may be specified and field modifications are easily implemented by installing contractors.

Stiletto is the first driver-on-board accent linear luminaire with Lutron Athena Wireless node built into the housing for complete digital addressability. It is the only driver-on-board luminaire with a made-to-order extruded aluminum housing that can be fabricated up to 12′ as a single fixture or seamlessly butted together for continuous runs without an appreciable break in light. A unique fixture in its class that may be specified in 1/2″ increments – not locked into 1′ or 4′ increments. The extruded rails on both sides of the housing allows for: valences of any size, shrouds and louvers. First fixture in its class that allows for ELV/MLV, 0-10V, POE, DALI 8 and DMX wiring/controls.

Recognized for two luminaire designs utilizing our 2021 award-winning technology, both WeissWall and LightSlice are versatile perimeter fixtures that allow for an additional, architectural layer of light within the built environment. The WeissWall has a multitude of mounting options: pendant, surface, wall, and arm. Its sleek design with our LumenDial engine allows it to be extruded for continuous runs as a seamless and low-glare perimeter option. LightSlice has a 5/8” depth, same as gypsum board, which allows it to be a versatile low-plenum option whether it is in a downward or upward orientation. Spring-loaded clips and extruded rails on the rear of the fixture allow for driver piggy-backing and simple drop-in installation without interfering with studs. The chamfered interior reflector yields an asymmetric throw transforming the fixture into a wall-washer in the ceiling, indirect workhouse on upper walls, and discrete knee-high wayfinder

The LumenDial engine and its modular luminaire system is the melding of future-proofed industrial design and advanced electrical circuit composition with best-in-class components. Side, rear, and end feeds provide ultimate flexibility for a plethora of mounting conditions. The symmetrically arrayed soldering pads allow for power injection without disrupting diode pitch. Our unique pin-docking system between rigid LED engines creates a simple yet robust installation for endless fixture runs. With .5” cuttable boards and extrusions cuttable to .125”, no dimension is ever out of reach.

Through a proprietary calculator, LumenDial is truly unchained. Both lumen output and wattage load can be burned in at our facility so that a design can meet design intent or engineering requirements without sacrifice. Every output is on the same engine with nothing ever physically changing so even our bevy of optics are always an option.
