Production Technician

Location: Mineola, New York (Long Island) – in person

Types:

Full-time shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (40 hours per week) with potential opportunities for OT hours when available

Part-time shift: Flexible within those hours, not to exceed 29 hours per week

About the Role

Scout is seeking reliable, detail-oriented Production Technician (both part-time and full-time roles available) to support day-to-day operations in our warehouse. This hands-on role is essential to ensuring that products are assembled, organized, and prepared for delivery according to company standards.

The ideal candidate is a team player with a strong work ethic, a can-do attitude, and a desire to grow. Our Production Assistant roles are structured as career opportunities – not just jobs.

You Will…

Assist with the assembly, packaging, and staging of products and materials
Load and unload shipments, and move materials within the warehouse as needed
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in compliance with safety standards
Follow production schedules and instructions from supervisors and team leads
Conduct quality checks to ensure items are built and packed accurately
Use basic tools or equipment (training provided as needed)
Help with inventory counts, labeling and stock organization
Support other departments or tasks as directed by leadership

Prior warehouse, assembly, or production experience preferred but not required
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Strong attention to detail and time management
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Punctual, dependable, and responsive to instruction
Comfortable working in a hands-on environment
Have a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn and grow within our company

Bonus Points for Having Experience in/with…

The lighting industry
Applicable experience or certifications (e.g., forklift)

Location: Mineola, New York (Long Island)

Compensation: Our compensation model is based on skill, experience and level/tier. Starting rates range from $16.50-$22/hour. We are actively seeking candidates at all levels.

Full-time employees are eligible for up to a 10% bonus based on both (i) company and (ii) individual performance.
